Testimonials
We are the proud owners of 2 dogs, a Labradoodle (1.5 years old) and a Goldendoodle (4 months old), and we could not be more happy with the 2 of them especially since Sabrina's training sessions with them. Io, our labradoodle, went through the basic skills and tricks training with Sabrina, as well as 'Board & Train' package to help with his separation anxiety and food issues. For the basic skills and training, Sabrina proved herself to be exceedingly patient, intuitive, knowledgeable, and attentive as she helped IO learn a whole host of commands and fixed behavioural issues that we were struggling with. We had made sure to find a no-force trainer who focused on positive reinforcement as well as animal psychology and body language – Sabrina ticked all of those boxes and more. We were especially impressed by how she had honed her skills and experience through stints at dog shelters and grooming parlours – it was a level of dedication and love of dogs that we had not seen in any of the 3 trainers we'd previously engaged. Sabrina further proved her worth as an indispensable part of our dogs' journey and learning when we boarded IO with her for training. Not only did she help manage his separation anxiety and food issues, she went above and beyond by teaching him other useful tricks like 'hold' and 'stay'. Her love and commitment to IO was self-evident as we were delighted with the extra activities she brought him to and socialised him with (bike rides, kayaking, running) – something which we didn't even pay her for (we should)! Words simply cannot express how grateful we are to Sabrina for her training and help, as well as how attentive and thoughtful she is be it in following-up with the dogs' progress, answering our questions, and aftercare support. She is the most dedicated, effective, and empathetic trainer we've had the pleasure of working with (and we've worked with many), and in our interactions during dog training classes, we've also found her to be a communicative, understanding, and extremely intelligent person despite her relatively young age. When we got another puppy in September this year, we immediately reached out to Sabrina to help us with training Lyra, our goldendoodle who is extremely shy and has low distress tolerance. We wanted the best possible start for our new puppy, and we couldn't imagine another trainer more fit for the bill. We wholeheartedly recommend Sabrina to fellow dog owners as well as anyone looking to gain insight into what effective and positive dog training looks like. Her wisdom, skills, and conscientiousness make her the most valuable asset anyone could have in their arsenal, and she is truly a shining star as far as the dog training community is concerned.
Sabrina's training has done wonders for my anxious and nervous dog, Yuki. She has shown great knowledge in understanding her behaviour and the reasoning behind her behaviour. Thus showing us how to best manage her and train her to be a more confident dog Our previous trainer had over 10 lessons with Yuki with no improvement in her behaviour outdoors. She was very nervous and sacred outside, always barking at people, cars and things, to the point that we grew anxious everytime we took her out as she would scare people by lunging and barking at them. She would also often pull hard on the leash trying to flee and in the process choking herself, causing us to worry that she would injure herself over time. She would also bark and lunge at strangers when they would enter into our house. After just 1 lesson with Sabrina, Yuki's behaviour showed improvement. And for once we saw great hope in Yuki being able to confidently go outdoors. After having gone through more training with Sabrina, Yuki has grown more confident outdoors and is no longer pulling on leash, fleeing, or barking at people and things. She follows closely now on leash, checks back with us, and happily walks by people and dogs with no reaction. It has been a great relief for us with her improvement in her behaviour that now we are able to bring her outdoors and she can get more exercise and walks. Sabrina has also taught her swimming safely in just 1 lesson and built up her water confidence effectively. Yuki has since been on many dog outings and is getting more confident each day. Sabrina’s trainings have each time seen instant results with Yuki’s behaviour.
I met Sabrina at in one of the Dog Festivals at Turf City in December 2018. I was looking around for a trainer in preparation for my Corgi which was arriving in February 2019. At the same time, I was looking to partner with someone who I can trust for my then-upcoming pet shop business. She was very patient and spoke about her training techniques. She was then shortlisted as I was confident that she would be probably someone I can count on. I was then still constantly on a look out for other trainers and I heard horrid stories over the usage of choke chains during trainings. We went through a trial and I saw how she handled my Corgi, Chase. Only then, I decided to go with Sabrina though her fees were on a higher side. Her training was very detailed and engaging, involving identifying your pet’s body language, correcting behaviour by using rewarding methods (example; treats) targeting at the right split seconds in that particular situation. Her techniques were generally evolved around psychology and was never abusive, or harsh. Her training methods takes up a lot of consistent routines on a daily basis. I liked the fact that it was a one on one session, and she looks out on mistakes I made with Chase, teaching and correcting how I should handle him. Chase made tremendous improvements over her 10 weeks course of training. He was able to sit on command, pace walk right beside me, come to me on command. What was amazing, was that he was totally outdoor trained on his 2nd week of training. Having said that, it is important for owners to follow through and be consistent in handling their pets. I clearly remembered one incident while we were walking Chase outdoors, and Chase refused to walk, she asked me for his water and placed him under a shade to cool down before going back. She is never once short and extremely observant. Though those were weekly trainings, she would follow up on Chase’s behaviour at home and his walk. – something that I really appreciate a lot. After Chase’s training, I decided to ask Sabrina for help to cope with behaviour problems with the dogs that my pet shop imported. Honestly, back then, I was very worried about her charges whenever I seek help, I would always label Sabrina as the perfect dog trainer, but she doesn’t come cheap! But she has never ever asked for a single cent. Monetary aside, she was so passionate about helping the dogs in my pet shop that she would pop by whenever she has time. One example was a female Dalmatian which we just imported in, Sabrina told me that she was showing mild signs of aggression from the way she chomps her food during feeding time. She told me that I should start correcting her behaviour before she got for the worse. She showed me the technique to correct her behaviour, however I have other businesses as well so I could not be around all the time, and imparted the knowledge to my staff. I guessed at that point of time, no one really thought that it was important as the signs were really mild. A few weeks later, I realised that the female Dalmatian chomps her food down and growled whenever a dog was nearby. I had no choice but to seek for help. Sabrina came down and did a couple of situational tests during her feed, and taught me more advance techniques. It was really a lot of work, being the constant for every meal time and I am extremely proud to say that the skills that Sabrina imparted turned the entire situation around in 2 weeks. The female Dalmatian’s food aggression behaviour problem was corrected in 2 weeks. Today, I am a proud mother whenever I see Chase playing with other dogs. He would turn over (“in a bang position”), revealing his vulnerable underside. People always perceive corgis as aggressive through their loud barks but they do not understand that it’s just one of their characteristics, Sabrina taught me how to handle Chase with “new friends”. I always receive praises on how well Chase plays and interacts with other dogs. He is in a day care now, and he is labelled to have “good play” all the time. I have met and heard of many trainers (even well-known ones) in the dog community and I know of a lot who methods I truly disagree with. Till today, whenever fellow dog owners I meet asked for trainer recommendations, I will always strongly recommend Sabrina for training. Where can you find such a passionate person who truly cares and loves animals and look beyond money?
Sabrina was Stormi's trainer in 2018. We engaged her for his obedience training. We are very pleased for her professionalism and her love for Stormi in the training period. Prior to her training, our dog was difficult to handle and aggressive at times. Whether it was his routine obedience, food aggression issue or anything in between, we could trust Sabrina for her use of the most humane and positive training techniques. What we saw in the training was not only her professionalism, but her compassion and love for the dogs she trains. She cared for the dogs beyond her scope of her work by sending us a gift for Stormi during Christmas and helping us when we needed advice even when we have finished the training with her, sharing tips and experience in a reassuring and kind way. We are grateful for her professionalism and the care she provided for our dog.
We had been through several trainers prior, but none of them with Sabrina's positivity, enthusiasm, and genuine love for dogs. Sabrina is a truly excellent dog trainer, and has consistently gone the extra mile for the dogs. We believe it stems from a place of genuine passion, which in our experience is incredibly rare among dog trainers in Singapore. To no-one's surprise, she has become Gou Gou's best friend, and has been so for over a year now. We are always comforted to see how happy Gou Gou is in her care, and have only the highest regard for her abilities as a dog trainer and her professionalism.
Sabrina is the best thing for me and my puppies. I had two previous trainers and unfortunately my puppies were traumatised by their training. Prior to Sabrina's training my family was overwhelmed and saddened by the effects of past trainings. I had the specific task for Sabrina that was to undo the bad experience. She was professional and knew the exact problems my puppies had.. They were anxious and not socialized. Sabrina's dog program is a step by step weekly dog obedience training which set the basic foundation (and much much more). The training was done in a fun and with positive reinforcement and I saw so much improvement and further built trust the puppies had with the family. It was educating us that is so valuable and she equipped us thoroughly on how to handle our puppies and situations..Sabrina goes the extra mile for our pets, she will take time even though is not paid training time to come to dog park to make sure my puppies are doing fine. Now, my puppies are happy going to the dog parks and beach. It no longer is daunting taking them out as Sabrina has corrected all the behaviours and very socialized..I will recommend her to anyone who is having a puppy and I will have my puppies do refresher course yearly Sabrina is an Amazing Trainer.
We first engaged Sabrina in August 2020 to train my border collie, Chase. He had trainings with another trainer before for 3 months, but it wasn’t very effective due to his hyperactive nature, and our inexperience with his breed. Within the first 2 lessons, there was a remarkable difference in his behaviour as we were taught better management skills by Sabrina. Her attentiveness in spotting his body language and precursors to unwanted behaviours immediately helped us understand Chase better. At no point in time, she has brought harm to Chase. In fact, there are times during the training that she encourage me to be more patient and communicative with Chase. In recent days, Chase and I are very bonded, and I have more confidence in managing him than I had a year ago. Her training is extremely effective and I have been actively recommending her to other friends whose dogs have behavioural issues. I strongly believe there will be more dogs out there which will benefit from her trainings.
I engaged Sabrina as a trainer for obedience and housebreaking training. It was a very personalised training as Sabrina will come over to my place to access the environment before training starts. She were very informed, patient and experienced. A trainer that's able to anticipate what the owner needs for the dog. She would make an effort to get us the things that we need for our dog. Training with my dog can be a little tough but I can see her patience and passion in handling him. Having sabrina around was a blessing when you need to go for biz trip. I even entrusted olaf under her care for a good two weeks. Without fail, she will sent me video and pic of olaf. As I know he in good hand. He definitely came back being more obedient. I'm deeply appreciated to have her as olaf trainer.
